Pre-soak the soot with kerosene. Mechanical cleaning of soot is possible

Checking the wheel alignment is a must if you have replaced or repaired suspension parts that could change the wheel alignment

You will need: a hex L-shaped wrench for the drain plug (usually this wrench is attached to the car in the driver's tool kit), a special wrench for unscrewing the oil filter or a large screwdriver, a funnel, a clean rag

If checking the hinge reveals the need to replace it, replace it
