You will need: a hex L-shaped wrench for the drain plug (usually this wrench is attached to the car in the driver's tool kit), a special wrench for unscrewing the oil filter or a large screwdriver, a funnel, a clean rag
Drain the oil after driving while the engine is warm.
If the engine is cold, start it and warm it up to operating temperature.
Refill with the same brand of oil that was in the engine.
If you still decide to change the brand of oil, then flush the lubrication system with flushing oil or oil of the brand that will be used.
To do this, after draining the old oil, fill in new oil to the lower mark of the oil level indicator.
Start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes. Drain the oil and only then change the oil filter.
Now you can fill in new oil to the required level (upper mark on the dipstick). Do not dump used oil on the ground.
Open the hood. Remove the oil filler cap by turning it approximately 90° counterclockwise.
Remove the oil sump guard and engine mudguard.
Access to the drain plug of the oil crankcase is also possible with the protection and mudguard installed, in this case, part of the oil will inevitably pour out of the hole for the plug and when the oil filter is removed from the oil line and contaminate the shield.
Clean the drain plug on the engine sump with a wire brush, then with a rag.
Wipe the oil filter and the crankcase around it with a rag.
Unscrew the drain plug, after substituting a container for the drained oil.
Drain the used oil. The oil is hot - be careful.
Tighten the cork.
Unscrew the oil filter by hand or with a puller.
Use a wrench to unscrew the oil filter.
If there is no such wrench or similar puller, pierce the filter housing with a screwdriver and, using it as a lever, unscrew the filter, and pierce the filter as close to the bottom as possible so as not to damage the fitting.
You can also use a strip of coarse sandpaper folded in half, wrapping it around the filter and moving it out of place with your hands.
Fill the inner cavity of the new filter with clean engine oil to about a third of the volume (to reduce the engine's operating time at the first start in "oil starvation" conditions)
If the O-ring of the new filter is not factory-treated with grease or talc, lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil and screw the filter into place by hand without the use of tools.
Fill with clean oil. Close the oil filler cap.
Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes (the low oil pressure warning light should go out 2-3 seconds after starting the engine body).
While the engine is running, check for oil leaks from the drain plug and oil filter.
Stop the engine, check the oil level, add oil if necessary, tighten the plug and filter.
