Torque to the front wheels is transmitted from the front axle gearbox through the right and left drives
Both actuators are identical in design. Each drive consists of a shaft 4 (Fig. 1) and two constant velocity joints mounted on its splined ends.
Inner joint housing 1 is connected to the side gear of the front axle reduction gear.
The body of the outer hinge 13 is connected to the front wheel hub.
The holder 11 is connected to the body 13 through the balls 10, which are located in the grooves of the body and the holder.
The clip is installed on the splines of the shaft 4, rests against the ring 7 and is fixed on the shaft with a retaining ring 12.
In a compressed state, this ring freely passes through the spline connection of the cage 11, which allows both connecting and disconnecting the hinge and the shaft.
The inner hinge body 1 differs from the outer hinge body 13 in that it has straight grooves.

Possible malfunctions and remedies
Cause of malfunction - Remedy
Noise, knocking from the side of the front axle when the car is moving (especially when cornering)
Worn front wheel drive outer joint parts - Replace worn or damaged joints
Deformation of the drive shafts - Replace the shafts
Grease leak
Damage or rupture of the protective cover of the inner or outer hinge - Change the grease in the hinge and the protective cover.
If parts are worn or damaged, replace the hinge assembly
