You will need: key 13, 8, pliers, screwdriver
The hood must be removed together with an assistant.
If you are installing the old hood, before removing it, mark the position of the hood hinges on the body by circling them with a felt-tip pen to maintain the hood adjustment.
Open the hood.
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Disconnect the underhood lamp harness connector.
Remove the rubber grommets of the wiring harness from the opening of the hood reinforcement.
Remove the hood insulation clips (on the left side).
Pull back the insulation and remove the rubber grommet of the wiring harness
Insert the wiring harness into the opening of the hood booster and remove the harness
Disconnect the windshield washer supply pipe from the tee and remove the pipe.
If necessary, use a screwdriver to remove the cable tie
Remove the four nuts securing the hood hinges to the body and remove the hood
Install the hood in the reverse order of removal, according to the marks applied before removal
Removing the hood lock and lock drive rod
In order to remove the lock, remove the front bumper, article - "How to remove the bumper"
We mark the position of the washers of the hood lock bolts relative to the bracket so as not to disturb the adjustment of the lock
With a 10 head, we unscrew the two bolts securing the hood lock.
Having lifted the lock, straighten the end of the rod with pliers
Move the thrust tube
Disconnect the rod from the lock lever
Remove the tip of the thrust shell from the lock hole
Remove the lock.
With a head of 10, we unscrew the bolt securing the bracket of the thrust shell
Remove the bracket from the shell.
Use a screwdriver to push the sealing sleeve out of the hole on the body
Remove the sleeve from the thrust shell.
Having prying with a screwdriver, we take out the plastic shell holder from the hole in the body.
Remove the holder from the shell.
Having unscrewed two self-tapping screws, we open the cover of the mounting block
Using a 13 key, we turn off the axis of the hood lock drive handle.
Turning the handle on the rod end, we bring it out through the slot of the handle.
Remove the shell tip from the handle bracket.
Remove the rod by pulling it into the car interior
Install the lock drive rod and the lock in reverse order
