We remove the engine water pump for replacement or repair
We prepare the car and install it on a lift or an inspection ditch
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Remove the right lower and side mudguard of the engine
Loosen the four bolts securing the water pump pulley
Drain the fluid from the cooling system

Remove the generator
We unscrew the bolts securing the water pump pulley, holding the pulley from turning with a screwdriver
Remove the water pump pulley
Release the crankshaft position sensor wiring harness from the guide
Disconnect the wire harness holder (B) from the water pump (A)
We unscrew the three bolts and one nut at the bottom of the pump
We unscrew the bolt, unscrew the nut at the top of the water pump and, prying with a screwdriver, remove the wire harness guide and the pump from the cylinder block
We clean the mating surface of the cylinder block from the old sealant
We apply a sealant-gasket on the mating plane of the water pump in the form of a roller with a diameter of 2.2-2.5 mm, and the line for applying the sealant-gasket should pass from the inside of the mounting holes
Install the water pump and wire harness guide onto the cylinder block and tighten the four bolts and two fastening nuts evenly and crosswise. Tightening torque 9 Nm
Install the rest of the parts in reverse order
Fill in coolant and remove air pockets from the cooling system
