The operation of the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS/TCS) or DSC On-Board Diagnostics is essentially the same as the previous 323 (BJ), with the following exceptions:
- - diagnostic codes, PID data monitor functions and active commands functions have been changed;
- - removed TBS pin of DLC connector;
- - Using WDS or equivalent with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS/TCS) or DSC HU/CM allows four-digit diagnostic code display and active command mode assignment, which improves maintainability.
Controller Area Network (CAN)
Anti-lock braking system (ABS/TCS) and DSC HU/CM transmit/receive information via CAN.
Transfer information:
- - about the path traveled;
- – wheel speed.
- - front left side;
- - front right side;
- - from the back left side;
- - from the back right side;
- - about the state of the brake system;
- – request for torque reduction;
- - about the geometry of the brake system.
Receive information:
- - about the operating conditions of the engine from the PCM;
- - about the engine speed from the PCM;
- - about the type of transmission from the PCM;
- - about the circumference of the tire from the PCM block;
- - about the position of the gear lever from the PCM;
- - about the status of the brake system alarm lamp (brake fluid level) from the instrument cluster;
- - about the geometry of the anti-lock braking system from the instrument cluster.
