The internal components of the anti-lock brake hydraulic unit may be damaged if the unit is dropped on a hard surface

Be careful not to drop the anti-lock brake hydraulic unit

Replace the anti-lock brake hydraulic unit if it has been hit

Remove the battery and battery tray.

Anti-lock braking system valve body: 1 - connector; 2 - brake line; 3 - ABS hydraulic block assembly, bracket; 5 - ABS control unit; 6 - ABS hydraulic unit

Remove the hose (manual transmission models).

Disconnecting the Connector

Lift up the connector cover in the direction of the arrow while pressing the tab on the cover (fig. 2).

Pull the connector towards the front of the car and remove it.

Tagging the brake line and ABS hydraulic unit

Make a match mark on the brake line and hydraulic block of the anti-lock brake system (fig. 3).

Wrap protective tape around the connector to prevent brake fluid from getting inside.

Remove the brake line.

Removing the ABS hydraulic unit

As shown in figure 4, move the bracket in the direction of the arrow and remove the anti-lock brake hydraulic unit assembly and bracket from the body

Install

Scheme of connecting the brake line to the hydraulic unit: 1 - left front; 2 - right front; 3 - input side; 4 - left rear; 5 - right rear; 6 - exit side

Align the marks made before removal and connect the brake line to the hydraulic block of the anti-lock brake system, as shown in figure 4.

Checking that the connector cover is secure

After connecting the connector, check that the connector cover is secure
