Make sure the selector lever is in the P position and the ignition key is in the LOCK position.

Press the locking mechanism and rest it against the brake pedal stop bracket

From this position, move the locking mechanism to securely lock the hook of the locking mechanism into the hole in the bracket, as shown in Figure 1.

Kinking or twisting the lock cable during installation may adversely affect the operation of the lock mechanism.

Install the end of the lock cable onto the cam pin on the selector lever (fig. 2).

Insert the lock cable into the U-groove of the selector lever base plate and install the clip (fig. 3).

Forcing the lock cable while installing the latch may adversely affect the operation of the lock mechanism.

Push in the lock cable lock before you lock it.

Remove the pin of the locking mechanism as shown in Figure 4.

Turn the ignition key to ACC.

Install the lock cable onto the key cylinder.

Move the outer housing to the key cylinder and place the clamp on the convex part of the outer housing (fig. 5)
