Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Remove the fender liner from the side of the sensor to be replaced
Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wiring block and disconnect the upper harness holder from the body
Disconnect the lower holder of the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the body by unscrewing its fastening bolt
Remove the sensor harness holder from the steering knuckle
We unscrew the bolt that secures the bracket for the wheel speed sensor wiring harness to the shock absorber strut (the brake hose bracket is fixed with the same bolt) and disconnect the harness from the strut
We unscrew the bolt securing the front wheel speed sensor and remove the sensor from the hole in the steering knuckle
Replacement of the rear wheel speed sensor
To replace the rear wheel speed sensor, you need a rear hub removal tool, an impact tool
Remove the rear wheel hub assembly with the bearing and rear wheel speed sensor
We press the sensor out of the hub bearing housing using an impact puller (“reverse hammer”), setting the puller grips on the sensor flanging
We press the new sensor until its flanging stops into the hub bearing housing using a suitable mandrel and a press.
In this case, the left wheel speed sensor connector should take the position shown in the photo.
The right wheel speed sensor should have the connector on the opposite side
Don't press the sensor in with a hammer
Installing the rear wheel hub
If, after replacing the wheel speed sensor, the anti-lock brake system warning light does not go out when the vehicle is moving, it is necessary to carry out ABS diagnostics
