Put the car on a two-post lift
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- - wiper arms;
- - grille of the air intake niche;
Replacing the master cylinder reservoir
Remove the plug from the neck of the reservoir of the main brake cylinder
Remove the air supply sleeve
Pull out the brake fluid from the reservoir
We bite the lock of the clutch master cylinder hose clamp
Remove the hose from the master cylinder reservoir fitting
Press the wire block retainer
For clarity, the following steps are shown on the removed master cylinder
Disconnect the block from the brake fluid level sensor
Turn out the pin of the reservoir to the brake master cylinder
Removing the finger
Remove the tank, removing its nozzles from the connecting sleeves
If the liquid was leaking from under the tank, then pry off the connecting sleeves with a screwdriver ...
Remove the bushings from the holes in the cylinder body
Install the reservoir by inserting its nozzles into the connecting tubes, before wetting the bushings with brake fluid.
Insert the reservoir pin to the brake master cylinder.
Connect the block of wires to the level sensor.
Connect the clutch master cylinder hose.
Fill in the brake fluid.
After installing the reservoir, we check the brakes.
Replacing the brake master cylinder
Remove the cap from the reservoir of the brake cylinder
Remove the air supply hose
Pull out the brake fluid from the reservoir
Disconnect the clutch release hose
Disconnect the wiring harness from the level sensor
We unscrew the nut for fastening the pipeline of the second circuit
Let's move the pipeline to the side
We also turn off and set aside the pipeline of the primary circuit
We pry off the soundproofing fastener and move part of the soundproofing down
We unscrew the nuts securing the master cylinder to the vacuum brake booster
Remove the brake master cylinder
Pry off the O-ring with a screwdriver
Replacing the ring
If the master cylinder is replaced, then we rearrange the brake fluid reservoir to the new cylinder.
Install the brake cylinder in reverse order.
Fill in the brake fluid and bleed the brake system.
Properly snap the reservoir onto the brake master cylinder.
Install the reservoir bolt to the brake master cylinder.
Tighten the reservoir bolt on the master cylinder to the required torque of 8.5 Nm.
Align the brake master cylinder with the brake booster so that the booster tappet fits into the socket in the master cylinder housing.
When installing the master cylinder, center the collar in the brake booster.
Tighten the nuts securing the master cylinder to the vacuum brake booster.
Tighten the master cylinder mounting nuts on the brake booster to the required torque of 50 Nm.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the nuts securing the pipelines to the brake master cylinder to the required torque of 17 Nm.
Bleed air from the brake system.
Connect the battery.
