The spring-hydraulic type tensioner is removed for replacement in case of failure, as well as when replacing parts of the gas distribution mechanism drive and cylinder head

You will need: 10 wrench, screwdriver, 13 socket, 10 socket, extension.

To facilitate access to the tensioner, loosen the clamp securing the right side of the air supply pipe to the throttle assembly

Remove the pipe mounting bolt

Having disconnected the right part of the pipe from the throttle assembly, lift it up.

With a 13 head, unscrew the bolt fitting of the oil supply pipe to the tensioner

For clarity, the engine cooling outlet hoses are disconnected

Remove the copper gasket from the fitting bolt and remove the bolt fitting with another copper washer from the hole in the tube tip

With a head of 10, we evenly unscrew the two nuts securing the tensioner to the cylinder head

Remove the tensioner from the hole in the cylinder head

Before installing the tensioner, we replace its sealing gasket

Install the tensioner in the reverse order of removal, making sure the drain hole in the tensioner body is clean.
