Change the grease in the bearings at the intervals given in the service book. If there is not enough lubrication or it is contaminated, the bearings will quickly fail
You will need: wrenches "for 13" (two), a torque wrench, a wrench for wheel nuts, pliers, a screwdriver, a hammer, clean grease Litol-24, a container for washing parts.
Remove the wheel.
Remove the brake pads
Remove the caliper without disconnecting the hydraulic brake hose, and, moving the caliper to the side, secure it (for example, with wire) so that the caliper does not hang on the hydraulic hose.
Remove the rubber holder together with the hose from the bracket.
Unpin the pin nut of the outer joint of the side link, unscrew the nut and,
With the puller installed, press the pivot pin out of the pivot arm boss.
Remove three nuts each of the bolts securing the ball joint and ball joint to the arms.
Remove the hub nut.
Remove the bolts and remove the steering knuckle assembly with hinges.
Using a suitable drift, press the hub out of the inner bearing races
Using a screwdriver, remove the oil seal from the hub.
After pressing out, the stuffing box is unsuitable for further use.
Replace it with a new one
Remove the spacer and bearing inner race.
Check that the bearing outer races are securely seated in the steering knuckle housing. The rings should not turn from the force of the hand.
Rinse all parts with kerosene.
Fill the inner cavity of the steering knuckle with grease, apply grease to the outer and inner races of the bearings.
Install the bearing inner race and spacer into the steering knuckle.
Press the oil seal into the steering knuckle seat.
You can use an old oil seal as a mandrel
Install the steering knuckle in the reverse order of removal.
Adjust the clearance in the bearings upitsy.
In the same way, change the grease and adjust the clearance in the hub bearings on the other side of the car
