Replacement of the fine fuel filter is regulated - every 30,000 km
Its condition depends on the quality of gasoline: the dirtier the gasoline, the faster the filter becomes clogged.
Jerks when driving the car, first at high and then at low speeds, most likely indicate filter clogging.
You will need the key "for 10".
On cars manufactured before 2009, the filter is installed in the engine compartment on the front end shield on the right side.
Since 2009, the fine fuel filter has been mounted on a bracket to the underbody on the right in front of the fuel tank.
In both cases, the principle of filter replacement is the same.
Let's consider the replacement of the filter for cars manufactured since 2009.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
If the engine has not been started for more than a day, then there is usually no fuel pressure in the system. Otherwise, you need to release the fuel pressure.
Relieve the pressure of gasoline, for this:
Opening the right rear seat cushion
We bend the soundproofing and use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the cover of the fuel pump hatch
Remove the cover
We press the two clamps of the block and disconnect the block of wires
After that, we start the engine and let it run until it stops due to running out of fuel.
Once again turn on the starter for 3 seconds.
The pressure will then be released.
Using a 10 key, we unscrew the bolt and two nuts securing the protective cover.
Remove the fuel filter cover
Squeeze the two retainers of the tip of the outlet fuel pipe, remove the tip from the filter fitting
Use a 10 key to loosen the filter clamp bolt
Squeezing the two retainers of the tip of the inlet fuel pipe, we move the filter, removing its fitting from the tip of the pipe and remove the fuel filter from the clamp.
Install the filter in reverse order.
The arrow on the filter housing must point in the direction of the vehicle
After installing the filter, we check the tightness of the connections by turning on the ignition.
