Removing the generator for repair.
Disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery.
Disconnect the block with the wire from the output "D" of the generator.
Remove protective cover
Unscrew the nut and disconnect the wires from the contact bolt (terminal "B+").
Remove the nut of the bolt securing the generator to the tension bar
Remove the bolt
Remove the nut of the alternator lower mounting bolt
Remove the alternator drive belt.
Remove the bolt and use the mounting spatula to remove the generator from the bracket
Remove the generator
Install the generator in the reverse order of removal.
After installation, adjust the alternator drive belt tension. "cm. Replacing and tensioning the alternator belt "

For an engine with an installed air conditioning compressor and power steering
Remove the auxiliary drive belt (described in the article - Niva Chevrolet hydraulic pump belt tension)
Slide the protective cap off the B+ terminal of the generator
Use a 10 key to unscrew the nut
Disconnect the wires from the contact bolt
Disconnect the generator excitation wire block
Using a 13 wrench, we unscrew the nut of the lower mounting bolt of the generator
Remove the bolt
Using a 13 wrench, we unscrew the nut of the upper mounting bolt of the generator
Holding the generator, remove the bolt
Remove the generator
Install the generator in reverse order
