Preparing the car for work.

For convenience, remove the decorative engine cover (see "Removing and installing the decorative engine cover")

Using a 10 key, we loosen the clamp on the negative terminal of the battery and remove the terminal.

Disconnect the wiring harness block from the mass air flow sensor.

Loosen the air pipe clamp and disconnect the pipe from the mass air flow sensor.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the top cover of the air filter.

Raise the cover and remove the filter element.

After replacing or cleaning the air element, vacuum and wipe the inside of both halves of the air filter housing.

Assemble in reverse order.

The air filter is removed to gain access to other units in the engine compartment, as well as if it is damaged.

You will need: keys "8" and "10" (preferably socket), a screwdriver.

Remove the decorative engine cover.

Loosen the fastening clamp and disconnect the left side of the air inlet pipe from the mass air flow sensor and move it to the side.

Remove the two front bracket mounting bolts

Remove the two bolts on the rear filter brackets.

Remove the filter along with the brackets and the mass air flow sensor.

If it is necessary to replace the filter, remove the mass air flow sensor from it by unscrewing the two mounting bolts.

To detach the brackets from the filter housing in order to install them on a new filter, press the heads of the rubber filter supports out of the holes in the brackets, lubricating them with engine oil to facilitate dismantling.

The manufacturer recommends cutting the supports with a knife. In this case, you will have to replace them with new ones.

Install all removed components and parts on the new filter and install the filter on the car in the reverse order of removal.
