If during operation there are traces of brake fluid leakage on the brake drum and the inner side of the wheel, replace the slave cylinder

Repair of the working cylinder often does not lead to positive results, besides, special tools are needed for this.

It is therefore recommended to replace the complete cylinder.

You will need: a 10 wrench and a special wrench for brake pipe nuts.

Engage 1st gear and set the stop bars under the front wheels.

Remove the corresponding wheel.

Clean the brake pipe attachment point and the brake cylinder mounting bolts from the back of the brake shield from dirt.

To make it easier to loosen the cylinder bolts and the brake tube nut, apply WD-40 to the threaded connections.

Remove the brake drum (see Removing and installing the brake drum).

After long-term operation, the brake tube nut "grows" with the tube in one piece, and when you try to unscrew the nut, the tube twists and breaks.

In this case, just loosen the tube nut a little, then unscrew the cylinder mounting bolts and disconnect it from the tube by screwing the cylinder from its nut.

After disconnecting the cylinder from the tube, the mobility of the released nut can be restored by moistening it with brake fluid and turning the nut alternately in both directions with a wrench.

Install the slave cylinder in the reverse order of removal.

Bleed the brake system (only the working cylinder on the wheel being replaced is possible).

Be sure to install the protective cap on the air release valve.
