The condition of the belt tension rollers should always be checked when removing or replacing the drive belt
When rocking and rotating the rollers by hand, there should be no play, jamming, or noise in the roller bearings
In many cases, roller bearing wear noise is observed when the engine is running.
We perform work on a viewing hole or on a lift.
Remove the accessory drive belt. For this:
Remove the mudguards of the engine compartment.
Using a 13 head, loosen the two bolts securing the tension roller bracket
Turn the adjusting bolt counterclockwise with a 13 head and loosen the belt.
Remove the belt
When installing the belt, keep in mind that when installed on the compressor pulley, the belt should be located closer to the inner edge of the pulley
We pry off the protective cover of the tension roller bearing with a flat screwdriver
Remove the protective cover
With a head of 17, we unscrew the tension roller fastening nut
Remove the roller from the bracket
To remove the bracket itself, remove the roller spacer
Removing the Belleville Washer
With a 13 head, we unscrew the three nuts securing the bracket to the cover of the gas distribution mechanism
Remove the bracket from the studs
Remove the roller axle from the hole in the bracket
To remove the support roller:
Pry off the protective cover of the roller with a screwdriver
Remove it
With a head of 17, we unscrew the roller mounting bolt

Install the roller in reverse order
