We change the front suspension lever if the silent blocks or the ball joint are worn out, and also if the lever itself is deformed
You will need: keys "for 13", "for 18" TORXT30
Loosen the wheel bolts, raise the front of the vehicle and place it on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
Remove the nut of the lower and the bolt of the upper fastening of the connecting rod and remove it.
Remove the anti-roll bar bolt nut while holding the bolt from turning and remove the bolt.
Remove the pinch bolt nut of the knuckle-to-ball joint.
Remove the pinch bolt.
Open the terminal a little with a screwdriver.
Remove the ball joint pin from the steering knuckle
Unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the front arm silent block to the subframe, holding the bolt from turning, and remove the bolt.
Similarly, remove the bolt securing the rear arm bushing to the subframe.
Remove the front suspension arm.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts and nuts with the following torques:
- nuts of bolts for fastening silent blocks of the lever to the subframe - 105 Nm (10.5 kgf-m),
- connecting rod mounting bolt - 21 Nm (2.1 kgf-m),
- connecting rod fastening nut and tie bolt nut of the knuckle terminal connection with the ball joint - 62 Nm (6.2 kgf-m).
After replacing a front suspension arm, have the wheel alignment checked and adjusted if necessary by a specialist workshop.
