Remove the front suspension arms for replacement or repair

Damage on the lever can be:

  • - deformation of the lever itself;
  • - ball joint wear;
  • - wear of silent blocks.

The work to remove the left and right front arm is identical.

Removing the front suspension arm: 1 - front suspension subframe; 2 - a nut of a back bolt of fastening of the lever to a stretcher; 3 - front suspension arm; 4 - bar of the anti-roll bar; 5 - stabilizer bar; 6 - a nut of a bolt of fastening of a rack of the stabilizer; 7 - a nut of a bolt of fastening of a spherical support to a rotary fist; 8 - rotary fist; 9 - ball joint

The operations to remove the lever must be carried out when hanging the front of the car or when the car is fully raised on a lift.

When hanging one wheel, the anti-roll bar will create a load and interfere with the dismantling of the arm.

To remove the lever, remove the wheel.

Disconnect the stabilizer bar mount (information on removing the stabilizer).

Remove the engine protection from below.
