How to remove the steering column switch Lada Largus
We remove the steering column switches for replacement, as well as when removing the steering column and instrument panel
To complete the task, you need tools: Torx T20, T50 keys, a set of screwdrivers, a tester
Preparing the car. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
We unscrew the two bolts securing the steering column cover
Remove the upper part of the casing
Remove the lower part of the steering column cover
We unscrew the two screws securing the steering switch
Remove the switch from the connector socket
Disconnect the wire block from the switch
In the same way, remove the second steering column switch
After that, we check the correct closure of the switch contacts at different positions of the switch levers.
We connect a tester with a dialing function to the corresponding outputs indicated below in accordance with the figures
When the shift lever is moved to the appropriate position, the tester should show a closed contact, otherwise the switch is faulty.
Contact closure at different positions of the outdoor lighting switch lever and direction indicators with the horn button:
- Left direction indicator A7-A6;
- Right direction indicator A5-A6;
- Marker light B1-B2;
- Dipped/high beam switch B5-B3;
- High beam headlights B5-B3 ÷ B7-B6;
- Front fog lights A1-B2 ÷ B1-B2;
- Rear fog lamp A3-B2 ÷ B1-B2;
- Beep A4-B6
Contact closure at different positions of the windshield wiper and washer switch lever with the button for switching on-board computer display modes:
- Windscreen washer pump A4-B4;
- Slow wiper speed A3-A7;
- High wiper speed A2-A7;
- Intermittent wiper, low speed A3-A6;
- Button for switching the display modes of the on-board computer A4-B7
Set the switches in reverse order.
Remove steering column switches assembly with connector and airbag contact ring
We prepare the car and disconnect the negative battery terminal

In order not to damage the current-carrying bus of the contact ring of the airbag, we fix the ring from turning
To do this, we insert a segment of a thin plate into a special groove on the outer circumference of the ring (a segment from the clamping collar of the CV joint cover may come up).
Don't forget to remove the latch before installation!
Remove the steering column cover as described above
We unscrew the bolt of the clamp fastening the connector by three or four turns
Press on the bolt to loosen the clamp
Move the connector from the steering column
Disconnect the white wire connector from the steering column switches
Disconnect the small black wire block
Disconnect the black block of wires and remove the connector assembly with steering column switches and slip ring
Install the steering column switches and all removed parts in reverse order
