We remove the steering column switch for replacement, as well as when replacing the steering column of the car
We prepare the car for the task and disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery
We remove the steering wheel, having previously noted its position on the steering column shaft (article - How to remove and install the steering wheel of a Toyota Camry car)
Remove the upper and lower parts of the steering column cover
Squeeze the clamps, disconnect the wire blocks from the steering wheel angle sensor and the airbag spiral wire
Release the three latches and remove the steering wheel angle sensor assembly with the coiled airbag wire
Disconnect the two wire blocks from the wiper and washer switch
Release the latch and remove the switch
Disconnect the wire block from the headlight switch, squeeze the bent retainer ears with pliers (indicated by the arrow) and remove the switch
Install all parts in reverse order
Removing and installing sound signals
Sound signals are removed for checking and for replacement
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
We remove the front bumper, as indicated in the article - How to remove the front bumper of Toyota Camry
Squeeze the latch and disconnect the block of wires from the sound signal
We unscrew the bolt of the horn bracket and remove the horn assembly with the bracket
To check the sound signal, connect the wires as shown in the diagram
If the sound signal does not work, replace it
Install the beep in reverse order
