Rear wheel brake pads must be replaced as a set on both sides

Preparing the car for work.

We turn on the first gear (we move the automatic transmission selector to the "P" position) and install the wheel chocks under the front wheels.

Raise the rear of the car and remove the corresponding wheel.

Holding the lower guide pin by the hexagon, unscrew the bolt "A" of the pin.

Raise the movable bracket up.

Remove the outer brake shoe from the shoe guide

Removing the inner block

Remove the upper fixing spring from the shoe guide

Remove the lower fixing spring.

Check the condition of the mudguards of the guide pins.

Checking the ease of movement of the movable caliper relative to the guide of the brake pads.

Lubricate the guide pins and their covers with grease.

We sink the piston of the working cylinder of the brake mechanism, screwing the piston clockwise, using a suitable tool.

For the convenience of turning, special grooves are made in the piston of the working cylinder of the brake mechanism.

Install the brake pads and all parts in the reverse order.

Check and, if necessary, add brake fluid to the reservoir of the master brake cylinder.

We prepare the car, as mentioned above.

Unscrew the nut of the pipeline of the working cylinder of the rear wheel.

Remove the tip of the parking brake cable from the expansion lever

We unscrew the bottom bolt of the guide pads

We unscrew the upper bolt of the guide pads

Remove the bracket assembly from the shoe guide.

Install all parts in reverse order.

After installation, we bleed the brake system.
