We replace the transmission control cables when they are worn out
Preparing the car for work.
We install the car on a lift or a viewing ditch
Disconnect the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.
Remove the battery

Removing the lining of the floor tunnel
Remove the backstage of the manual transmission control lever (article - Replacing the backstage gearshift lever Renault Megan 2)
We unscrew the four screws securing the backstage cover
Put the lid aside
Prying on the retainer
Disconnect the end of the cable from the gear lever
We also disconnect the tip from the gear selector.
Finally remove the linkage of the gear lever.
Remove the fixing bracket
We remove the tip of the sheath of the gear shift cable from the hole in the body of the lower cover of the gear shift stage.
We also remove the tip of the gear selection cable.
Install the manual transmission control cables and all removed parts in reverse OK.
