To replace the brake pads of the front wheels, we need the following tools:
- - wheel wrench;
- - hex key "by 7";
- - slotted screwdriver;
- - mounting spatula
We install the car on a viewing hole or on a lift. Unlock the wheels.
Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel
Pry off with a slotted screwdriver and remove the protective cap of the upper caliper mounting bolt
Also remove the lower plastic cap
Unscrew the upper bolt of the caliper guide with a 7 hexagon
Unscrew the bottom bolt with the same wrench
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove the wire spring
We drive a slotted screwdriver between the brake disc and the pad and squeeze the caliper piston.
In the future, to fully compress the piston, we use a thin assembly
Remove the bracket and remove the pads
We tie up or simply put a caliper on top of the steering knuckle.
Inspecting the removed parts and cleaning them
Installing new pads.
If there is an arrow on the new inner pads, then you need to install this pad with the arrow down
You can watch a video on replacing the front pads
Assemble in reverse order.
The rail mounting bolts must be tightened with a torque of 30 Nm.
We tighten the wheel bolts with a torque of 105 Nm.
After assembly, press the brake pedal several times so that the pads "self-align".
After installing the pads, make a test drive with several brakes.
