When replacing the brake pads or brake disc, be sure to replace the pads or disc on the other side of the vehicle
Put the car on a two-post lift.
Install a pressurizer on the brake pedal to reduce the amount of brake fluid escaping.
Unlock the steering wheel.
Remove the front wheels.
Remove the pressure spring
Prying off the cap of the cover of the lower guide pin
Retrieve the stub. We also take out the top cap
Unscrew the guide pins for fastening the movable bracket
Retrieving fingers
Put aside the movable bracket
Remove the inner and outer brake pads from the bracket
When repairing the brake mechanism, we check the condition of the mudguards
Lubricate the guide pins with grease
With the help of sliding pliers, we sink the piston of the working cylinder
Removing the bracket assembly from the shoe guide
Loosen the brake hose fitting
We unscrew the two bolts securing the guide pads to the steering knuckle
Remove the bracket assembly with the guide.
Finally unscrew the bracket from the brake hose.
Install:
- - brake caliper;
- - bolts for fastening the guide pins.
Torque tighten:
- - guide pin bolts (32 Nm);
- - brake hose (17 Nm).
Fix the brake hose and wheel speed sensor wires securely if they have been disconnected.
Do not twist the brake hose. Install the wheels.
Torque tighten:
- - fitting for bleeding the brake actuator (6.5 Nm);
- - wheel bolts (105 Nm).
If the brake reservoir was not completely emptied during work, bleed the air from part of the hydraulic circuit of the brake system.
Otherwise, bleed the entire hydraulic circuit of the brake system.
Check the brake fluid level.
