The front brake caliper is removed to replace it or replace the working cylinders and brake disc
It is more convenient to work on a lift. You can perform it on a car mounted on supports.
Removal and installation are shown on the example of the right caliper, remove and install the left caliper in the same way
You will need: key "14", pliers, punch, hammer.
Remove the corresponding wheel.
Clean the brake mechanism from dirt.
To facilitate disassembly, apply WD-40 type fluid to the joints of the fingers with the caliper and clamping levers.
Remove the two manifold mounting bolts.
Please note that O-rings are installed under the bolts.
Replace a heavily compressed ring.
Remove the cotter pin of the pressure arm axle.
Remove the axle; if it sits tightly due to corrosion, knock it out with a drift.
Remove the upper pressure arm.
Please note that there are two springs in the slots of the guide under the clamping arm, do not lose them.
Remove and inspect the pressure arm springs.
Replace broken or loose springs.
Pry with a screwdriver and remove the caliper
Before installing the clamping lever axle, lubricate it with Litol-24 grease or graphite grease.
Connect the manifold and bleed the brake hydraulic drive (see "Bleeding the brake system hydraulic drive").
Left and right caliper assemblies are not interchangeable.
