Remove the instrument panel for access to the heater and for other repairs. Removing the panel of a pre-2009 car is not much different, but there are some features
Therefore, let's consider this work in as much detail as possible.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Remove the mounting block for this:
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the cover of the mounting block
Pressing the upper edge of the cover, we disengage it from the instrument panel
Sliding the cover up, remove the pins from the rubber bushings
Remove the cover.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the mounting block fastening screw
We remove the block holders from the brackets
Disconnect five pads of the instrument panel wiring harness from the mounting block.
Squeezing out the retainer of the remote relay block with a screwdriver
We shift from the guides of the block, remove the pads assembled from the relay.
We also remove the remaining pads from the remote relay.
Remove the mounting block
To make it easier to remove the instrument panel, remove the front seats.
Bending the edge of the seal, we squeeze the upholstery of the left front pillar
And remove the upholstery, removing the three clips of its fastening from the holes of the rack.
We also remove the upholstery of the right front pillar.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the left fastening screw of the instrument panel insert.
We also unscrew the self-tapping screw of the right fastening of the instrument panel insert.
Having lifted the instrument panel insert, disengage its spring holders and remove the insert.
We lower the steering column to the floor (see the article - “Removing the steering column”).
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the instrument panel console trim on the right side.
We also unscrew the two screws on the left side of the console.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, we unscrew the two screws of the upper fastening of the console lining.
We take out the container of the audio head unit.
Remove the overlay from the instrument panel console.
Disconnect the wire blocks from the cigarette lighter, the control unit for the exterior mirrors and the block of switches for heating the front seats
Remove the dashboard console overlay
We remove the glove box for this:
Open the lid of the glove box, and lifting the lid, remove the tip of the cord from the slot in the lid.
We also disconnect the cord from the other side of the glove box cover.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the self-tapping screw of the side fastening of the lining of the glove box.
We unscrew the two screws securing the screen of the instrument panel console
we unscrew the two screws of the lower self-tapping screw of the lower fastening of the drawer to the instrument panel console.
Having opened the box lid, on the left side we unscrew the two self-tapping screws of the side fastening of the box body to the instrument panel console
Unscrew the screw of the upper left mount
We unscrew the screw of the upper middle fastening of the glove box body
On the right side, we turn off two self-tapping screws for fastening the lining of the box
Having removed the lining from the box body, on the right side we unscrew the screw of the upper fastening of the box body
With a short Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws of the bottom fastening of the drawer body
Tilting the box, disconnect the wire blocks from the terminals of the glove box light switch
Disconnect the terminals from the lighting lantern itself
Remove the glove box
Instrument panel wiring and wiring locations
- - 1 - diode;
- - 2-6 - to mounting block;
- - 7 - to the body (ground wire);
- - 8 - to the horn relay;
- - 9 - to the seat heater relay;
- - 10 - to starter relay;
- - 11 - to the fog lamp relay;
- - 12 - to the power window relay;
- - 13 - 14 - to the front wiring harness pads;
- - 15 - to the rear wiring harness block;
- - 16 - to the headlight and turn signal switch:
- - 17 - to the horn switch;
- - 18 - to the windshield wiper and washer switch;
- - 19-20 - to the ignition switch;
- - to the diagnostic block;
- - 22-23 - to the brake light switch;
- - 24 - to the potentiometer;
- -25 - to the headlight range control;
- - 26 - to the outdoor light switch;
- - 27-28 to instrument cluster;
- - 29 - to the block of the wiring harness of the ignition system;
- - 30 - to the alarm switch;
- - 31 - to the fog light switch;
- - 32 - to the rear fog light switch;
- - 33 - to the air conditioner switch;
- - 34 - to the heated rear window switch;
- - 35 - to the block of control lamps;
- -36 - to the backlight of the heater control panel;
- - 37-38 - to the radio device;
- -39 - to heater motor switch;
- - 40 - to the APS control unit;
- - 41 - to the cigarette lighter;
- - 42 - to additional resistance;
- - 43 - to the heater motor;
- - 44-45 - to the glove box light;
- - 46 - to glove box light switch.
With a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the five screws securing the console screen, and remove the screen.
We remove the instrument cluster (see the article on removing the instrument cluster).
Remove the heating, ventilation and air conditioning control unit (see the corresponding article).
Using a Phillips screwdriver, we unscrew the four screws of the upper fastening of the instrument panel.
With a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw of the side fastening of the panel on the right side.
We also turn off the self-tapping screw on the left side of the instrument panel orov.
We unscrew the six self-tapping screws of the lower instrument panel
Disconnect the wire blocks from the instrument lighting control and the headlight electrocorrector control.
Remove the instrument panel
Install the instrument panel in reverse order.
