Remove the front wheels.
Remove the crankcase protection.
Remove the lower and side mudguards of the front fenders.
Unscrew the three screws securing the lower part of the bumper to the front suspension subframe and move the lower part of the bumper, releasing the subframe (replaceable TorxT30 nozzle, extension, ratchet wrench).
For vehicles with a K7M engine, remove the catalytic converter.
Unscrew and remove the bolts securing the stretch marks of the subframe to the side members (replaceable head 13, ratchet wrench).
Unscrew the nuts and remove the bolts securing the ball bearings to the steering knuckles (ring key 16, interchangeable head 16, ratchet wrench).
Disconnect the ball joints of the front suspension arms from the steering knuckles (mounting blade).
Remove the bolt securing the low-pressure pipeline to the front suspension subframe (replacement head 10, ratchet wrench).
For vehicles with the K4M engine, remove the oxygen sensor wiring harness from the retainer on the steering gear heat shield, unscrew the steering gear heat shield fastening bolts and remove the shield (replacement head 13, ratchet wrench).
Unscrew the bolts securing the steering gear to the subframe and attach the steering gear to the car body (replaceable head 18, ratchet wrench).
Unscrew and remove bolt 3, figure 1, fastening the connecting bracket 4 to the lower jet thrust 2 (replaceable head 18, extension and knob).
Loosen the bolt 5 fastening the connecting bracket to the crankcase 6 of the gearbox and turn the bracket 4 away from the jet thrust 2 (replaceable head 18, extension and knob).
Place the transmission rack under the subframe 5, Figure 2, of the front suspension, raise the rack stop until it touches the subframe and unscrew the bolts 1 - 4 of the subframe fastening (replaceable head 18, knob, transmission rack).
Lower the transmission tower and remove the subframe from the body. The operation is performed by two performers.
Remove from subframe if necessary:
- - anti-roll bar;
- - front suspension arms;
- - jet thrust of the lower support of the power unit.
Install
Attention. Do not reuse the front suspension subframe mounting bolts. Bolts must be replaced.
Attention. Reuse of the ball joint nut to the steering knuckle is not allowed. The nut must be replaced.
If it was removed to install on a stretcher:
- - front suspension arms;
- - anti-roll bar;
- - jet thrust of the lower support of the power unit.
Install the subframe on the vehicle and tighten, without tightening, the new mounting bolts. The operation is performed by two performers (replaceable head 18, ratchet wrench, transmission rack).
Finally tighten the subframe mounting bolts in the sequence shown in Figure 2. Bolt tightening torque 105 Nm (10.5 kgf.m) (replaceable head 18, torque wrench).
Install the steering gear on the front suspension subframe and secure with bolts.
The torque of the bolts is 105 Nm (10.5 kgf.m) (replaceable head 18, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
For vehicles with K4M engine - install the heat shield of the steering mechanism in place and secure with bolts. Bolt tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf.m) (replaceable head 13, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
Attach the oxygen sensor harness to the holder on the steering gear heat shield.
Connect the transmission link bracket to the lower tie rod
fastening the power unit and tighten the bolts securing the bracket to the crankcase of the box and to the jet thrust. Bolt tightening torque 105 Nm (10.5 kgf.m) (replaceable head 18, extension and wrench).
Screw the low pressure pipe to the subframe front suspension. Bolt tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf.m) (replaceable head 10, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
Attention. Install the ball joint bolt of the lower front suspension arm to the steering knuckle with the head towards the front of the vehicle.
Install the ball joint pin of the front suspension arm into the steering knuckle, install the mounting bolt and tighten the new nut.
When assembling, the shoulder of the spacer must fit into the slot on the steering knuckle. Tightening torque of the nut 62 N.m (6.2 kgf.m) (ring wrench 16, interchangeable head 16, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
Repeat the operation of connecting the lever to the steering knuckle for the second side.
Install the mounting bolts in the upper holes of the connecting rods of the front suspension subframe and screw them into the corresponding holes in the side members of the engine compartment. Bolt tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf.m) (replaceable head 13, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
For vehicles with K7M engine install a catalytic converter.
Fix the lower part of the bumper to the front suspension subframe with three fastening screws (replaceable nozzle TorxT30, extension, ratchet wrench).
Install the lower and side mudguards of the front fenders.
Install the crankcase protection.
Install the front wheels.
Remove the technological fastening belts from the radiator of the engine cooling system.
Connect the ground wire terminal to the battery (wrench 10).
Check and, if necessary, adjust the alignment of the front wheels.
