If the valve timing is disturbed, the engine will not work normally.
You will need: a screwdriver, wrenches "for 8", "for 10", "for 13", a special key for turning the crankshaft

All parts of the regulator must be clean before assembly, and the rubbing surfaces lubricated with engine oil
The tightness of the needle valve is checked on a stand that supplies fuel to the carburetor at a pressure of 30 kPa (3 m w.c.)
Camshafts mounted in the cylinder head are driven by a double row chain from the intermediate shaft, which in turn is driven by a double row chain from the crankshaft
Remove the oil sump and crankcase gasket
Remove the oil pump
The piston of the 1st cylinder is set to the position of the top dead center (TDC) of the compression stroke so that when carrying out work related to the removal of the timing chains, the installation of the gas distribution phases is not disturbed
Usually, the head gasket is replaced with the following damage:
- - Gas breakthrough into the cooling system;
The durability of the repaired engine largely depends on the bench run-in and the mode of its operation on the car for the first 6000 km of run
On the cars of the latest production series, instead of a centrifugal oil filter, an oil filter with a paper filter element is installed, shown in fig. 1
Remove the cylinder head
