Remove the coolant pump for replacement
Removing the pump
Remove the battery cover
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Remove the bottom cover together with the mudguard.
Drain the engine coolant, (see Mazda Coolant Change 3).
Fix the expansion tank of the cooling system so that it does not interfere with work.
Remove the drive belt (see Mazda 3 drive belt).
Fix the power steering reservoir so that it does not interfere with operation.
Remove the generator
Remove the water pump assembly and O-ring (fig. 4).
Pump installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Add engine coolant.
Check for coolant leaks.
