You will need: wrenches "for 13", "for 17", "for 27", a hexagon "for 12", a wrench for wheel nuts, a chisel, a hammer, a syringe for filling transmission oil, a container for used oil
Remove the front wheels.
Drain the oil from the front axle reduction case.
The front axle gearbox can be removed in two ways
When removing in the first way, we remove the front wheel drives, as described in the article - Removing and installing Niva Chevrolet front wheel drives
Removing the right drive
Removing the left drive
In this case, the gearbox remains suspended on the adjustable stop
Supporting the gearbox, remove the adjustable stop from under it
And remove the reducer
If you remove it in the second way, you need to perform the same operations, with the exception of unscrewing the nuts securing the bearing caps of the housings of the internal hinges of the drives to the front axle gearbox housing
Disconnect the ball pin of the middle tie rod from the pendulum arm or from the bipod of the steering mechanism
And remove the front axle gearbox assembly with drives
Install the reducer in reverse order.
