We prepare the car and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and wait at least two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge
Set the front wheels of the car to the straight ahead position
Use a flat screwdriver to pry and remove the plugs of the holes located at the rear of the steering wheel
Using a 10 socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the airbag module
Remove the airbag module from the steering wheel
Disconnecting the wiring harness
Disconnect the block from the mounting on the airbag module case
Use a thin screwdriver to pry up and lift up the retainer of the wiring harness block
Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the airbag module
The airbag module should be stored with the plastic pad facing up to avoid scratching it and to reduce the chance of injury if it is accidentally deployed
Disconnecting the wiring harness block
Using a 21 socket wrench, unscrew the steering wheel mounting bolt
Remove the steering wheel, removing the airbag module wiring harness pads from it
Using a piece of adhesive tape, we fix the contact ring of the airbag from turning
Install the steering wheel and airbag in reverse order
We apply an anaerobic thread locker to the bolts of the airbag module
