Removal and installation of oxygen sensors (lambda probe) of the K4M engine
We remove the oxygen sensors if they failed when dismantling the exhaust pipes.
Installing the car for work
Remove the negative terminal from the battery
We carry out work on a cold engine.
Remove the silencer and the air filter housing
Disconnect the wiring harness block from block 1 (Figure 1), the control oxygen sensor.
Disconnect the block of the control oxygen sensor from the bracket 2.
We drag a long socket wrench, or a spanner wrench, through the sensor wire
Turn off the control sensor (Figure 3).
Remove the sensor from the exhaust manifold (Figure 4)
Install the sensor in reverse order.
Before installing the sensor, we apply graphite grease to the threads.
Apply carefully so that the lubricant does not get on the sensor tip.
Tighten the sensor with a torque of 45 Nm.
Removing the diagnostic oxygen sensor
We carry out work to prepare the car for work.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the wiring harness block from block 1 (Figure 5).
We drag the ring wrench for 22 with a cut through the sensor wire and unscrew the sensor.
Remove the sensor from the exhaust system pipe (Figure 6).
Install the sensor in reverse order.
Before installing the sensor, we apply graphite grease to the threads.
Apply carefully so that the lubricant does not get on the sensor tip.
Tighten the sensor with a torque of 45 Nm.
Install the minus terminal to the battery
