Remove the thermostat for inspection or replacement
A sign of thermostat replacement is an unstable temperature regime - overheating or insufficient warming up of the engine
To check the thermostat on the car, start a cold engine and touch the right (outlet) radiator hose - it should be cold.
After the coolant temperature reaches 80º C, the hose should heat up quickly, this indicates the beginning of the circulation of the liquid in a large circle.
If this does not happen, and the coolant temperature sensor and the engine control unit are OK, you need to replace the thermostat.
We prepare the car and install it on a lift or a viewing ditch
Drain the coolant from the cooling system, as indicated in the article "How to replace the engine coolant 2AZ-FE Toyota Camry"
We loosen the clamp of the radiator outlet hose, squeezing the bent ears of the clamp with pliers, and slide it along the hose
