Put the car on a level surface, jack it up and lower it onto stands.

Drain the gearbox oil (see Mazda 3 gearbox oil change).

Remove the front wheels and mudguards.

Separate the drive and connecting shafts from the gearbox in the final drive unit.

Remove the seals using a screwdriver (fig. 1).

Using the special tool and a hammer, evenly press in the new oil seal until the special tool rests against the final drive housing (fig. 2)

You can use an old oil seal as a mandrel

Coat the lip of each seal with gearbox oil.

Insert the drive and connecting shafts in the gearbox in the final drive unit.

Install wheels and mudguards.

Add the required amount of oil of the required type.
