Replacing downpipes with engines ZMZ-4025, 4061, 4026, 4063
It is more convenient to work together on a viewing ditch or a lift
Remove the engine mudguard and the exhaust system resonator.
With a “14” head, we unscrew the locknuts and nuts securing the exhaust pipes to the manifold.
One of the nuts can only be unscrewed with a 14" spanner.
With the keys "12" and "13" we unscrew the bolt securing the exhaust pipes to the gearbox bracket
Using the “13” key, we unscrew the two nuts of the clamp securing the intake pipe to the resonator.
Disconnect the pipe from the manifold.
Remove the gasket from the manifold studs
When installing pipes, we replace the gasket.
Outside, we recommend painting the entire exhaust system with heat-resistant paint.
Replacing the intake pipe with engines ZMZ-40522 and ZMZ-40524
Disconnect the oxygen concentration sensor (lambda probe) harness connector
While holding the bolts from turning, unscrew the nuts of the two bolts securing the catalytic converter to the downpipe and remove the bolts.
Unscrew the converter from the exhaust pipe, remove the gasket
Remove the four nuts securing the downpipe to the exhaust manifold
Remove downpipe
Remove the gasket
Install parts in reverse order
