Unscrew the wing nut at the bottom of the filter.

Cautiously assemble the filter with the new element in reverse order
You need to make sure that the pressure spring is located in the recess of the filter element without distortion, and the element itself is precisely put on the centering shoulder of the housing.
The wing nut of the shackle should only be tightened by hand.
If the gasket is damaged and fuel leaks between the cover and the filter sump, replace the sump sealing rubber gasket by removing it from the housing groove.
When using a brass mesh or ceramic filter element, it should be rinsed in clean gasoline and reused.
Replace the paper element with a new one.

Using the “14” key, we unscrew the fitting of the fuel supply hose.
Holding the filter fitting with the “17” key, unscrew the outlet hose fitting with the “14” key.
Using the “14” wrench, unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the fine filter housing
Remove the filter.
Unscrew the wing nut and remove it together with the holder
We take the rocker to the side
Remove the settling glass
Remove the filter element, spring and rubber gasket from the filter
We wash the removed parts in a solvent or replace the filter element, assemble the filter in the reverse order.
Replacing the fuel filter on vehicles with engines ZMZ-405, ZMZ-406
It is recommended to replace the filter every 80 thousand kilometers.
But the condition of the filter depends on the quality of gasoline.
Jerking while moving The noises of the car, first at high and then at low speeds, indicate filter clogging.
An increased noise level of the electric fuel pump indicates a decrease in the throughput of the filter.
Mount the car on a lift or a viewing hole.
Depressurize the supply system.
Squeeze the plastic tip of the fuel line
Remove the tip from the fuel filter fitting
Disconnect the fuel line from the other side of the filter
While holding the nut from turning, unscrew the coupling bolt of the fuel filter clamp to the bracket
Remove the filter
Install the fuel filter so that the arrow on its body points in the direction of fuel flow
Install the fuel filter in reverse order and check the connections for leaks.
