We remove the mufflers, exhaust pipe and suspension pads for replacement, as well as when removing units that require the removal of elements of the exhaust system
We prepare the car and install it on a lift or an inspection ditch
Removal and installation of suspension cushions for the exhaust system
To remove the exhaust pipe suspension cushion, unscrew the two bolts securing the cushion to the subframe with a 12 wrench
Remove the pillow by moving it with a screwdriver from the exhaust pipe bracket
You will need a flat-blade screwdriver to replace the front and rear suspension pads of the secondary muffler, as well as the front and two rear suspension pads of the main silencer
We move the pillow with a screwdriver from the muffler bracket
Then remove from the bracket on the body (crossbar of the rear suspension)
When replacing pillows, you can cut the pillow with a knife to make it easier to remove the pillow
Install pillows in reverse order
To facilitate the installation of the pillow, we lubricate the muffler and body brackets (crossbars) with soapy water
Removing and installing exhaust pipe and mufflers
To remove the exhaust pipe, remove the right and left lower engine mudguards
We clean the protruding ends of the studs from dirt and rust with a metal brush and treat them with easily penetrating grease WD-40
Disconnect the oxygen concentration sensor wire block
We unscrew the two nuts and remove the bracket of the front fastening of the exhaust pipe
We unscrew the two fastening nuts and disconnect the flanges of the collector and the exhaust pipe
We remove the exhaust pipe bracket from the hole in the pillow and remove the exhaust pipe from the car
Install the downpipe in the reverse order. We replace the sealing rings with new ones
To replace the additional muffler:
We pry off with a screwdriver and remove the pillows from the front and rear brackets of the additional muffler
We unscrew the two nuts of the mounting bolts and disconnect the flanges of the additional and main silencer
We unscrew the two nuts of the mounting bolts, disconnect the flanges of the additional muffler and the exhaust pipe
Then remove the additional muffler from the car
Install the additional muffler in the reverse order. We replace the sealing rings of the flanges with new ones
To replace the main muffler:
We unscrew the two nuts of the mounting bolts and disconnect the flanges of the additional and main silencers, after that we remove the main silencer from the car
Install the main muffler in reverse order. We replace the sealing rings of the flanges with new ones
