Oil and oil filter change with ZMZ-402 engine
The operation is carried out on a warm engine or immediately after the trip.
Use the “24” key to unscrew the cork
Drain the oil into the prepared container (at least 6 l).
Use the “14” key to unscrew the plug and drain the oil from the oil filter housing
Use the 24 key to unscrew the nut
Remove the cover of the oil filter housing.
Remove the metal and rubber sealing washers.
We take out the oil filter and remove the rod from it.
Install the new oil filter in reverse order.
Simultaneously with the replacement of the filter element, replace its rubber seals, as they quickly lose elasticity from hot oil
We wrap the plugs and replace the oil filter housing cover.
Pour 5.8 liters of fresh oil into the engine.
We start the engine for a few minutes, after which we stop it and, after waiting 5 minutes, check the oil level on the dipstick.
If necessary, add oil. If necessary, drain the oil from the oil cooler.
Oil and oil filter change with ZMZ-406 engine
It is more convenient to carry out work on a viewing ditch.
Use the 24 key to unscrew the drain plug.
We drain the oil into a wide container with a volume of at least 6 liters placed under the crankcase and screw the plug back in place.
The duration of the drain is at least 5 minutes.
The oil filter is difficult to access from the engine compartment, so we remove the engine mudguard
Open the filter.
If the filter is tight, it is better to use a special puller to remove it.
If there is no puller, we pierce the filter housing with a large nail or punch and, using them as a lever, unscrew the filter
Lubricate the gasket of the new filter with engine oil.
Having filled the filter halfway with engine oil, screw it onto the fitting and, after the gasket comes into contact with the cylinder block, tighten it by ¾ turn by hand
Pour fresh engine oil into the engine through a funnel and install the engine mudguard.
Start the engine, check for oil leaks, tighten leaky connections if necessary.
After stopping the engine, we bring the oil level to normal.
