The door is disassembled for replacement or repair
Removing the front door trim
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove the power window switch from the armrest handle
Disconnect the wire block from the switch.
We also disconnect the wire block from the second switch
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws of the front fastening of the armrest handle
We pry off with a screwdriver and take out the screw cap of the rear fastening of the armrest handle
We also remove the plug of the middle fastening screw
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two fastening screws
Remove the armrest handle
We pull off the inner door handle, with a Phillips screwdriver we unscrew the self-tapping screw for fastening the lining of the inner handle
Remove handle cover
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the door upholstery pocket
We bring down the four ledges of the pocket from the holes in the upholstery and remove the pocket
Squeeze the latch tabs
Remove the door lock button
Remove the lower part of the upholstery, remove the five clips for fastening the upholstery from the holes in the door panel
Remove the upholstery (the arrows show the location of the caps)
If the caps are broken, then we change them to new ones (the caps are suitable from the VAZ-2109)
Removing the exterior mirror of the front door
We remove the upholstery, as if It was described above
Disconnecting the two outer mirror wire blocks
Pry off with a screwdriver
Remove the exterior mirror cover
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the three screws
Remove the outside mirror by pulling its wires out of the door
Install the mirror in reverse order
Removing the inner handle of the front door
Remove the door upholstery as described above
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the handle
Move the handle back, remove its protrusion from the door opening
Squeezing the petals of the thrust tip with pliers
Remove the tip from the lever of the pen and remove it
Install the handle in reverse order
Removing the outer door handle
Remove the front door upholstery
Pry off with a screwdriver and disconnect the outer handle rod from the lock levers
Also disconnect the lock switch rod
With a head of 8, unscrew the handle fastening nut
Unscrew the outer handle bolt
Sliding forward to the stop and lifting the handle, we take it out of the door together with the rods
Install the outer handle in reverse order
Removing the front door lock
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Remove the front door upholstery
Disconnecting the rod from the inner handle
Remove the rod of the internal lock drive from the holder
Disconnecting the wire pads in the interior light switch (the switch is located inside the door lock)
Disconnect the two pads of the electric door lock from the pads of the door wiring harness
When removing the right door lock, disconnect one block of wires
Disconnect the outer handle rod and the lock switch rod from the lock levers (described above)
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the three screws
We remove the lock from the door with the rods of the button and the internal drive of the lock
Disconnecting the rods from the lock levers
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the electric drive to the lock bracket
Remove the electric drive
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the self-tapping screw securing the electric drive hinge
Remove the loop
Install the front door lock in reverse order
Removing the front door lock
Before removing the latch, mark its position relative to the body
Using an impact screwdriver with a Phillips tip, unscrew the two screws securing the retainer
Remove the retainer and gasket
When adjusting the lock latch, you need to loosen the two screws securing it
By moving the latch relative to the holes in the rack, we adjust the position of the latch vertically and horizontally.
We tighten the screws of the latch and check the position of the closed door.
If necessary, then repeat the operation, achieving the correct position of the door.
Removing and installing front door glass
Lower the glass as far as it will go
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Remove the outside mirror as described above
Remove the door upholstery
Use a screwdriver to pry the edge of the inner seal of the sliding window through the hole for the upholstery piston
Remove the seal
Pry off the edge of the outer seal with a screwdriver
Remove the seal
Remove the upper glass seal
We temporarily connect the power window switch to the wire block and connect the negative battery terminal.
We raise the glass so that through the lower hole in the inner panel of the door it is possible to unscrew the bolts securing the glass clip to the slider of the power window mechanism.
With a head of 8, unscrew the two bolts securing the glass clip to the slider of the power window mechanism
Slightly turning the glass forward, take it out through the door window.
Install the glass in reverse order.
Removing the front door power window mechanism
Remove the glass of the front door, as described above
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Disconnect the power window wiring harness and the door wiring harness
We unscrew the head for 10 seven nuts securing the power window mechanism
Remove the power window mechanism through the bottom hole in the inner door panel
Install the mechanism in reverse order.
Removing and installing the front door
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Remove the bolt securing the limiter to the body.
Turn along the axis and disconnect the wiring harness block from the door.
Remove the locking brackets of the door hinge axles (old version)
With a head of 8, we unscrew the two locking bolts of the hinges (new version)
Remove the door upwards
Install the front door in the reverse order of removal.
