Mazda 3 Hood Replacement

To remove the hood hinge, remove the following items:

  • - front side turn indicators;
  • - front bumper;
  • - front combined headlights;
  • - front fender panel.

Disconnect the windshield washer hose.

Remove in the order shown in Figure 1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Adjust the position of the hood.

Adjusting the hood position

Remove the front fender.

Remove the front fender.

Loosen the hood hinge adjustment bolts and close the hood.

Tighten the bolts (fig. 2).

Check the gap between the hood and the body (body) in the section shown in Figure 3.

Gap: a - 2.5–4.5 mm.

Turn the adjusting screw to set the desired height of the hood position (Fig. 4).

Make sure that the height between the hood and the body (body) in the section shown in Figure 5 is within the specified values.

Height:

  • a - 3.0-6.0 mm;
  • b - 3.0-6.0 mm.
