Drain the gearbox oil
Put the car on a two-post lift
Remove the decorative caps of the front wheels
Loosen the hub nuts and wheel bolts
Raise the front of the car
Remove the front wheels
Disconnect the harness pads from the wheel speed sensors
Disconnect the tie rods from the steering knuckles
Loosen the nuts for fastening the shock absorbers and unscrew the nuts to the end of the thread, but do not remove them
Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle by pressing the lower arm down overcoming the resistance of the anti-roll bar
We take the shock strut a little to the side, while simultaneously removing the shank of the outer CV joint from the hub.
Unscrew the hub nuts completely and remove them.
If the hinge does not come out of the hub well, knock it out with a hammer through a wooden spacer.
With a mounting spatula, we press out the shanks of the internal hinges from the side gears of the differential and remove the drives.
To install the drives, first we insert the splined shank of the outer joint housing into the wheel hub and screw the hub nut without tightening it all the way.
Then we insert the splined shank of the internal joint housing into the axle shaft seal and turn the drive shaft slightly so that the splines match the gear and the joint.
With sharp movements of the shock strut with a fist, we press the drive into the gear of the axle shaft until the drive is fixed with a retaining ring.
We install the wheel and tighten the nuts until they stop, without completely tightening them.
We install the car on the wheels, removing it from the supports, and tighten the hub nut.
Torque tighten:
- - wheel bolts (110 Nm);
- - hub nut (280 Nm);
- - Tie rod end ball joint pin nut (37 Nm);
- - ball stud nut (62 Nm);
After installing all the parts, fill the gearbox with oil.
To remove the front wheel drive intermediate shaft support:
- unscrew the three mounting bolts and remove the support from the engine crankcase;
- remove the front wheel drive.
After installing the right drive, screw in the support mounting bolts.
Tightening to the required torque:
- - nut securing the ball joint pin of the anti-roll bar (44 Nm);
- - intermediate support mounting bolts (44 Nm).
- - suspension strut mounting bolts (21 Nm);
- - bolts for fastening the steering knuckle to the support (72 Nm);
- - ball joint pin nut (100 Nm);
- - brake caliper guide pin bolts (170 Nm);
- - nut securing the ball joint pin of the anti-roll bar (44 Nm);
- - Tie rod end ball joint pin nut (37 Nm);
- - hub nut (280 Nm);
- - wheel bolts (130 Nm).
Fill the oil in the gearbox and bring it up to the correct level.
