Four molded gaskets are installed between the flanges of the cylinder head and the intake pipe
If the tightness of these gaskets is violated, the engine runs unevenly ("troit")
If the problem cannot be corrected by tightening the intake pipe, replace the gaskets.
Depressurize the supply system (see Reducing the pressure in the supply system).
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Remove the air filter (see Removing and installing the air filter).
Pressing the latches, disconnect the wiring harness pads from the injectors from the throttle position sensor ...
absolute pressure sensor, intake air temperature sensor and idle air control.
On the side of the engine facing the bulkhead, unscrew the nut that secures the brace to the intake pipe, unscrew the bolt that secures it to the cylinder block, and remove the brace.
Remove the engine harness from the holders on the intake pipe at the rear and front.
Having unfastened the upper holders of the engine harness in front and behind with a screwdriver...
Remove the harness from the front and rear holders.
Remove the harness from the upper middle holder on the inlet pipe and move it to the side.
Remove the end of the throttle cable from the ball pin of the intermediate lever.
Disconnect the canister purge hose from the inlet pipe.
Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail (see Removing and installing the fuel rail).
Disconnect the hose to the vacuum brake booster from the inlet pipe by squeezing the latches of its fastening.
With certain skills of the performer, the above operations for disconnecting hoses and wires can be omitted, since in order to replace the gaskets of the intake pipe, it is enough to take it away from the cylinder head as far as the flexibility of the hoses allows.
Further operations for removing the intake pipe are shown on the removed cylinder head for clarity.
Remove the throttle assembly (see Removing and installing the throttle assembly).
Remove the four upper mounting bolts, unscrew the three lower mounting nuts and disconnect the intake pipe from the cylinder head
Remove the gaskets from the grooves of the intake pipe flanges.
Clean the grooves from the remnants of old gaskets
Replace heavily compressed, hardened or torn gaskets.
Before installing the intake pipe, clean the cylinder head flange from the remnants of the old gasket.
Lay the gaskets in the grooves of the intake pipe flanges and install the intake pipe on the cylinder head, tighten the intake pipe bolts and nuts evenly crosswise, starting with the outer nuts and bolts and moving to the middle ones, with a torque of 25 Nm (2.5 kgf -m).
Install all removed parts and assemblies in the reverse order of removal.
