Some vehicle configurations are equipped with headlight range height sensors

We carry out work on a lift or on a viewing ditch.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Removing the front headlight range height sensor

Disconnect the connector.

Removing the height sensor of the headlight corrector of the front part of the body: 1 - stopper, 2 - mounting bolt

Remove the stopper and unscrew the bolt securing the front body height sensor (Fig. 1).

Installation

Install the sensor with the bracket on the vehicle.

Tighten to 8 Nm the front body height sensor mounting bolt.

Be sure to replace the stopper after each removal.

The front height sensor has different electronic characteristics from the rear height sensor, so it is very important not to mix them up.

The front height sensor has a yellow label.

Perform ECU calibration.

Adjust the headlights.

Removing and installing the rear headlight range height sensor

Withdrawal

Disconnect the connector.

Removing the sensor stopper: 1 - stopper

Remove the stopper (fig. 2).

Removing the sensor mounting bolt: 1 - bolt

Remove the bolt securing the rear height sensor (Fig. 3).

Installation

Install the sensor with the bracket on the vehicle.

Tighten to 8 Nm the front body height sensor mounting bolt.

Be sure to replace the stopper after each removal.

The rear height sensor has a green label.

Perform ECU calibration.

Adjust the headlights.
