Installing and preparing the car for work

Remove the negative battery terminal

Using a screwdriver, we disconnect the ball end 1, the drive of the throttle pipe.

Removing the throttle pipe of the K7M engine: 1 - ball tip of the throttle pipe drive; 2 - block of wires to the throttle position sensor; 3 - throttle pipe; 4 - idle speed control

Disconnect the block 2 wires from the throttle position sensor.

Disconnect the block of wires from the idle speed regulator 4.

Using a Torx T30 screwdriver, unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the throttle body retainer.

Remove the body 3 of the throttle pipe by tilting it.

Installing the throttle body

Install the throttle pipe 3.

Install the throttle body retainer and tighten the mounting bolt. Bolt tightening torque 15 Nm (1.5 kgf.m) (Torx T30 screwdriver, replaceable Torx T30 nozzle, extension, torque wrench).

We attach the block of wires to the idle speed regulator 4.

Connect the block of 2 wires to the throttle position sensor.

Using pliers, we attach the ball tip 1, the throttle pipe drive.

Installing the air filter housing.

Connect the battery ground wire terminal.

We press the latch and disconnect the wiring harness block from the throttle position sensor

Also disconnect the block of wires from the idle speed controller

Using a screwdriver, disconnect the intermediate throttle actuator rod from the throttle assembly lever

Remove the throttle body

Remove the sealing rubber ring from the throttle assembly. Replace a torn or cracked ring

Install parts in reverse order

If the car has a K4M engine:

You will need 8 wrenches, TorxT25, TorxE8 and a screwdriver

Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal

Disconnect the end of the throttle wire cable from the lever

We press the lock of the wire block and disconnect the block from the throttle position sensor connector

Remove the air filter housing

We unscrew the two bolts securing the throttle assembly and take it aside

If necessary, replace the sealing rings

The throttle position is set at the factory. It is forbidden to unscrew the screws (A) of the throttle valve.

Install all parts in reverse order
