Car fenders protect wheel arches and parts of the car body from corrosion and ground impact
Many car repairs require the removal and installation of fender liner
Before removing the fender liner, it is advisable to prepare spare caps for replacement in case of breakage.
You should also wash the fender liners with an automatic washer.
To do the job, you will need tools: pliers, a flat-blade screwdriver, a TORX T40 key.
To remove the front fender liner, remove the front wheel
Unscrew the screw securing the front wheel mudguard
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove the front wheel mudguard mounting clip
Remove the front wheel mudguard
To remove the front wheel liner, unscrew the two screws securing the front part of the front wheel liner
We unscrew the screw of the front fastening of the fender liner to the front bumper
We take out four pistons (there are pistons with an internal lock, which should be turned out before removing the piston, only then remove the piston)
and remove the front part of the front wheel liner.
Remove the fastening caps and remove the rear part of the front wheel liner.
To remove the rear wheel mudguards, unscrew the two screws securing the rear wheel mudguard to the rear bumper from below
Unscrew the nut
Remove the piston
We unscrew the two screws of the rear mounting of the mudguard of the rear wheel
Remove the rear mudguard of the left rear wheel
Unscrew and remove the nuts securing the front mudguard of the left rear wheel
This is how the nuts of the front mudguard of the left rear wheel are located
Pry off the piston with a screwdriver
Remove the piston of the front mudguard of the left rear wheel
Remove the front mudguard of the left rear wheel
Install mudguards and wheel arch liners in reverse order.
