Put the car on a two-post lift

Remove the top engine covers.

Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Remove the front bumper

Removing the intake silencer: 1 - ECU connector, 2 - silencer

Disconnect the computer connector and remove the intake silencer (fig. 1).

Remove the two ECU mounting nuts and remove the ECU (fig. 2).

Installing the automatic transmission computer

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

In case of replacement of the automatic transmission computer, it is necessary to memorize the new computer with the value of the oil service life in the gearbox, stored in the memory of the replaced computer.

Proceed as follows:

Read the oil service life in the memory of the control unit to be replaced using parameter PR133 "Oil change odometer" and write it down.

Replace the computer.

Enter the oil life data into the memory of the new ECU using the command: CF320 "Transfer odometer data until the next oil change".

Check your data entry by displaying the "Oil change odometer" parameter.

Enter the after-sales service date using the command: CF320 "Record after-sales service date".

To remember the entered parameters by the new computer, carry out a road test.
