If traces of oil leakage through the camshaft seal are found, first check if the crankcase ventilation system is clogged and if the hoses of this system are pinched, repair if necessary

Check the throttle position: with the accelerator pedal fully depressed (this should be done by an assistant), it should be fully open, and with the accelerator pedal released, it should be fully closed

The evaporative emission canister can be removed for inspection or replacement if there is a persistent smell of gasoline caused by a canister leak or if the canister purge valve fails
