The anti-lock braking system (ABS) consists of an electronic control unit (ECU), wheel speed sensors, a hydraulic unit 1 (fig. 1) with hydraulic solenoid valves, an electrically driven return pump and a warning light 4 in the instrument cluster

The brake drum is removed to replace it if the working surface is damaged or worn (the maximum allowable diameter of the drum of a car with a 1.4 liter engine is 181.25 mm, with a 1.6 liter engine - 204.45 mm), as well as for control state of brake mechanisms, replacement of brake pads and working cylinders

With the minimum allowable thickness of the friction linings of the brake pads, the size measured by the diameter of the pads installed in the brake mechanism with the clearance adjuster reset is 179.4 mm for a car with a 1.4 liter engine and 202.45 mm for vehicles with 1.6 l engine
