We unscrew the supports when removing the power unit for repair and with significant wear
If there is a sudden increase in the vibration of the power unit and a change in the position of the engine relative to the body, you need to pay attention to the supports of the power unit
To replace the supports, we install the car on a viewing ditch or a lift.
From the bottom of the car, remove the protection of the pallet and mudguards of the engine compartment.
To dismantle the right front support with a head of 17, unscrew the nut that secures the support to the bracket of the front suspension cross member.
After that, turn off the head on the 17th nut securing the support to the bracket of the engine block
We substitute the jack under the bolt securing the oil pan on the right side and raise the power unit
Remove the support of the power unit.
We also remove the support from the other side of the engine, jacking the engine from the other side.
Install the supports in reverse order, given that there is a centering band on the support
This strap should fit into the corresponding hole in the front suspension cross member bracket
Install parts in reverse order
To remove the rear support with a 10 head with a hinge or a spanner wrench, loosen the two nuts securing the body floor protection screen.
With a 10 head, unscrew the nut and bolt securing the front floor protection screen and two nuts securing both screens.
Remove the front body floor protection screen
We substitute an adjustable stop under the gearbox housing through a wooden gasket
With a head of 13, we unscrew the nut securing the support to the cross member of the rear suspension of the power unit, holding the bolt head from turning with a wrench of the same size.
We also unscrew the nut of the second bolt.
We take out the bolts and remove the bushings
Using a 13 key, we unscrew the two nuts securing the support to the rear cover of the gearbox.
With a key or a 13 head, we unscrew the two nuts securing the cross member of the rear suspension of the power unit to the bottom of the body
We lower the gearbox so that the cross member comes off the mounting studs
Remove the support from the gearbox studs
Remove the support from the crossbar
Install the support in reverse order
